Luxury Mortehoe Holiday Cottage

Mortehoe is a fantastic location for a break away. It’s quiet and relaxed, yet our accommodation is close to pubs and places to eat and drink. There are also wonderful walks, beaches and stunning coastal and country walks close to all of our cottages.

There is plenty to see and in and around Mortehoe, whether it’s walking, golf, surfing, horse riding, or just good old relaxing.

Heatherdale Cottage

For that extra special holiday, we have a sumptuous luxury holiday cottage in Mortehoe, the gorgeous Heatherdale Cottage.

Overlooking the ocean where the Atlantic meets the Bristol Channel, the views are of the endless sparkling azure sea in summer, and wild seas, tossing and turning, during the winter months. The location in itself is something to behold.

There is a stunning walk-in sight of the holiday cottage, as you can via the photo below. This being the stunning coastal walk from Mortehoe to Lee Bay, and beyond, part of the South West Coast Path.

One of Heatherdale’s most attractive features is the hot tub where you can take in these amazing sea views and surreal setting, with a glass of your favourite with family and friends.

The cottage also has a spacious conservatory with a large folding door which opens out onto a paved outside area with a table and a good amount of chairs and sun loungers, with which to bask in the warm summer sunshine, whilst admiring the Devon coastal views.

Many of the bedrooms in this four-bed holiday cottage have ocean and coastal views, including many of the other rooms, like the large lounge and dining area. There is plenty of space to accommodate up to 10 people, which makes this cottage perfect for large groups or family holidays.

Rockham Beach

Only a 15 to 20-minute walk along an enthralling coastal walk is the secluded Rockham Beach, which is not accessible by car. The walk itself is a stunner, hugging the ocean, with the waves crashing below and the lushly covered cliffs above. On warm, still, summer days you can see the rocks sometimes meters below the ocean surface, through the clear, summer sea, which looks more like a Mediterranean summer getaway!

Rockham Beach is dog-friendly year-round, which makes for an ideal break away if you are interested in bringing the dog on holiday as Heatherdale holiday cottage is also dog friendly. This luxurious cottage includes all the necessities to ensure you have an unforgettable dog-friendly holiday in this beautiful part of North Devon.

Heatherdale Cottage is only a short walk to all of the village amenities and other good walks, bicycle rides and things to see and do, including the mighty Morte Point, with Woolacombe itself only a short drive away.
