Kinever Valley to Bennett’s Mouth

Commencing from the charming village of Mortehoe, follow the winding road as it leads you into the serene countryside. This delightful walk takes you down a hidden wooded valley, where in winter, delicate snowdrops blanket the ground. As you continue, the path reveals a secret cove by the sea, a tranquil spot where the waves gently kiss the shore.

The Route

Start: Mortehoe Village car park. Grid Ref SS458453

Exit the car park & cross the road, then make your way down North Morte Road (road next to the post office). Stay on North Morte road until you reach a gate saying Bull Point Lighthouse, go through the gate and follow the lane.

After approx. half a mile you will see a footpath off to your right signed Bennetts Mouth & Lee. Take this path down the hill & into Kinever Valley.

Follow the stream as it winds down towards the sea. Carry on through the pedestrian gate & continue along the path until you reach Bennetts Mouth.

At Bennetts Mouth use the path on your left to head up the hill towards Bull Point Lighthouse.

When you have reached the lighthouse you can then follow the tarmacked lane which will take you all the way back to Mortehoe where you can then make your way back to the car park.
